The Hotel Heinz is located high over the city on a sunny south-facing slope. Our lucious landscape stretches across countless prestine meadows and creeks, leading you into the surrounding forest. With the valley to the north, meadows and horse pasture to the north east, this beautiful terrain reaches far down to our pond in the idyllic “Brexbachtal”. From east to south east extends the nature park Nassau with Mt. Koeppel and mere endless hiking and biking paths and flora and fauna, which infatuates you in every season of the year.
Westerwald – Nature between the Rhine Valley and Koblenz
The Westerwald is a beautiful low mountain region in western Germany, known for its extensive forests, rolling hills, green valleys and peaceful countryside. An ideal destination for hiking, cycling and nature holidays in Germany.
Hotel Heinz is located in the Rhenish Westerwald, in the wooded hills of the Montabaurer Höhe. Here, the Westerwald meets one of Germany’s most famous landscapes: the Rhine Valley.
Just a short distance away lies Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet at the famous Deutsches Eck (German Corner). South of Koblenz begins the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley, internationally renowned for its spectacular river scenery, steep vineyards, historic towns and the many castles overlooking the Rhine.
This makes our location particularly special: guests can combine the quiet, unspoilt nature of the Westerwald with some of the most iconic sights of the Romantic Rhine.
Nassau Nature Park – right on our doorstep
Hotel Heinz lies directly beside the Nassau Nature Park, a vast natural landscape of forests, meadows, streams and secluded valleys. Hiking trails start close to the hotel and lead deep into the surrounding countryside.
One of the characteristic landscapes nearby is the Brexbach Valley, where the small Brexbach stream winds through dense woodland, beneath historic railway bridges and viaducts, on its way towards the Rhine.
